I am  a senior at Hillsdale High School and am currently the captain  and founder of Icahn robotics. My love for robotics has stemmed from a passion for technology I have for all of my life. Since as early as I can remember technology has played a significant role in my development. Robotics has allowed me to further his creative potential by providing new opportunities to challenge himself in STEM fields. I aspire to be a computer scientist and am excited at the prospect of spearheading a brand new FTC team to it’s highest potential. I am proud to be a member of Icahn robotics society.

I initially founded this team because, at my school, there was no FIRST robotics program. While there was a robotics team, it was a Spring team, and had a different format than FTC than I personally found not as interesting. With that, I asked a few of my friends of what they thought about starting a robotics team. Although at first they were sceptical, as time went on I managed to convince them to the idea. The first hurdle I had to jump was with our funding. Being a brand new team, and small at that, we needed a source of income to start us off. I had heard of FTC’s grant program for small teams, so I applied for that. With much thanks to FTC and their sponsors, we won ourselves a grant of $750. This was more than enough to start our team, so we began planning meetings and getting the team together. I am very proud of what our team has been able to accomplish, with a limited source of income and small membership. I know that the Icahn Robotics Society will continue to bring STEM to our community for many years after I graduate from High School.
