The main reason I decided to join the Icahn Robotics Society was because our team leader, Jeromey encouraged me to. However, after joining I decided I wanted to stay for a multitude of reasons. First and most important was that working with my teammates to build our robot was actually fun and enjoyable. Second, there is much to learn from building a functioning robot. Before I never knew the amount of work that had to be done to make a robot that working. From the software portion which included coding things such as the autonomous, to the hardware portion which involved designing our robot, all of these required a lot of hard work and ingenuity. My time with the team has helped me develop critical thinking skills, such as working as a team.
